Matthew LaVallee

Matthew LaVallee has never met a stranger. He is relational, driven and compassionate. His knack for problem-solving, coupled with a love for people and for service, sets him apart from others in his field. His ultimate goal is to help each client get to a better place.

Matthew began his legal career in 1999 as an Assistant Attorney General with the Georgia Attorney General’s Office, where he specialized in Section 1983 civil rights cases and served as lead counsel for several trials. After four years serving the State of Georgia, Matthew transitioned into private practice and continued his focus on civil rights matters, while developing robust employment and premise liability practices. Matthew’s entrepreneurial spirit ultimately led him to create LaVallee Law, LLC in 2014.

LaVallee Law, LLC is about helping clients achieve positive results from the situations they face. To do that takes more than just the great skill that Matthew is recognized for; it requires understanding people, their contexts and real-life issues. He helps his clients not only with the issues at hand, but also helps them think beyond their current state to prepare for the future. This proactive, strategic approach to representation further differentiates LaVallee Law within a typically reactive landscape.

Matthew graduated from Ithaca College in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in Politics. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University in 1999. Matthew is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia. He has been named to Atlanta Magazine’s list of Georgia Super Lawyers on multiple occasions, an honor given annually to just 2.5 percent of Georgia attorneys.
